Premium Renewals Just Don’t Make Sense

Premium domains

"At $5,400 per year, you’d be investing $54k if you want to buy and hold for ten years. $54k gets you a gem of a one word dot com… I’d be willing to sell my Fanboys.com domain for just $7.5k or Instability.com for $3,500, after which you’ll only pay 8-9 bucks a year to keep them".

Owners Of High Premium New gTLD Domains Trying To Sell Them By Hiding Renewal Cost?

Extract: "An interested buyer asked about the renewal price but the seller said that he was on his iPhone and couldn't remember. I say that it seems pretty hard to forget paying for a $4,500 premium domain just a few months back. The seller said that he thought that it was a $1k premium domain like a few others he had. The interested buyer eventually found the renewal price on his own and posted it in a comment".

Startup.Club

Here’s how it works:
  1. Let us know the premium .CLUB domain name you are interested in.*
  2. Let us know a bit about the plans you have for your business that will use the name as the primary web address.
If approved, you’ll be able to purchase the premium .CLUB name for 10 equal annual payments, interest free. For example, if AwesomeName.club is listed for $40,000, you’d be able to obtain the name and start using it for your business for $4,000/year for 10 years. After that the name is yours for as long as you continue to renew it at standard general availability pricing (currently approx. $15.00/year).
